Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL) surgery

ACL surgery has advanced rapidly over the past few years. We aim to offer you state-of-the-art reconstruction surgery to maximise return to function. However, in addition, careful rehabilitation of the knee both before and after surgery is critical to the outcome. The gradual recovery of knee movement and muscle strength without damaging the graft heals are of great importance for a successful outcome.

The goals of the surgery and rehabilitation are:

  • to restore the anatomy and function of the anterior cruciate ligament
  • to prevent knee instability
  • to return successfully to work and sport

The reconstruction and rehabilitation techniques used are based on internationally proven expertise and tried and tested programs associated with successful outcomes.
